Thunderbolt Marine (TMI) Tour - April 28 2022 at 4:30 PM

Come join your fellow ASCM members, peers and Colleagues for an exciting tour of the Thunderbolt Marine (TMI).  TMI is where Savannah's charm, hospitality, and history of maritime tradition welcomes yacht captains, crew, and owners worldwide for maintenance, refit, and repair.

TMI's world-class facility includes a state-of-the-art spray booth that provides lighting and temperature controlled conditions for painting that can be matched by no other. TMI's In-House Team of skilled craftsmen and well accomplished tradesmen deliver quality work at competitive prices.

TMI has 2400 linear feet of hard-standing space in addition to the service building and a centerboard pit. We have a combined 6000 linear feet of slip space on floating concrete docks. The service basin is dredged to maintain an average 16-foot depth. The Wilmington River is big, deep, and calm enough to conduct short sea trials.

Thunderbolt Marine is located at 3124 River Dr, Savannah, GA 31404.  For more information on Thunderbolt Marine and its services -->

Port of Savannah Tour - - June 29, 2022 (1 - 3PM)

Since 1945, Georgia’s ports have served as magnets for international trade and investment, enriching the state’s economy to benefit all Georgians. The Georgia Ports Authority is dedicated to providing customers with the most efficient, productive port facilities in the nation, and to creating jobs and business opportunities to benefit more than 9.7 million Georgians. The GPA is committed to maintaining its competitive edge through development of leading-edge technology, marketing and operations to move cargo faster. And, the Authority is working hard to identify what must be done today to sustain growth, performance and security for tomorrow.

Georgia’s deepwater ports in Savannah and Brunswick, together with inland terminals in Chatsworth, Bainbridge and Columbus, are Georgia’s gateways to the world. They are the critical conduits through which raw materials and finished products flow to and from destinations around the globe.

The Port of Savannah, home to the largest single-terminal
container facility of its kind in North America, is comprised
of two modern, deepwater terminals: Garden City Terminal
and Ocean Terminal. Together, these facilities exemplify the
GPA’s exacting standards of efficiency and productivity.
Garden City Terminal is the fourth busiest container handling
facilities in the United States, encompassing more than 1,200
acres and moving millions of tons of containerized cargo
annually.
